We had 6 couples and this place was perfect for our group. Everyone had their own private quarters and tons of communal space to hang out. The grounds and landscaping are immaculate and the pool area is fantastic. The complementary bag storage before checkin and after checkout was such a nice and helpful addition.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for a long weekend in Key West! The property was gorgeous, exactly as pictured, with plenty of space for everyone to gather. It was a cold snap the weekend we were there, but the pool was heated perfectly for nighttime swims. Everything was pristine! The location was fabulous! We will be back!

This property is amazing! It is so beautiful and secluded. The foliage, lighting and ambiance in the courtyard is unmatched. It was the perfect spot for our large family to hang out and enjoy the warm Florida weather and each other. The accommodations were cute and cozy, clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our time. The highlight for our crew of 22 was definitely the POOL!! it was such a great space to just hang out, kids play in the pool, parents sit on the deck and enjoy drinks and conversation. We could have never left the space and had an amazing vacation. If you are considering a family vacation, while this property is a pretty high price......you won't regret it if you can swing it.

We had 22 girls stay here for a Fantasy Fest/Bachelorette weekend and this property was PERFECT. It was clean, comfortable, and adorable. We loved the place so much we honestly barely went out to explore any of Key West... we just stayed around the pool with one another! Can't say enough good things about this place. If you have a big group traveling to Key West, this is where you want to stay. 100%.

Hands down the best stay I’ve had in the past 30 years I’ve come to vacay, and I have stayed in many places in KW. I am an original Conch 1966. Impeccably clean, landscaping peaceful & tropical perfect mix of sun & shade, well tended to. The pool was delightful ample seating, lots of secret nooks and crannies:-) very private completely gated. We appreciated the yummy bakery items our host had delivered our first morning! The kitchens were well equipped. We did misunderstand the layout of bdrms and sleeping spaces originally (and we may have driven our host crazy) when we booked
However it was spacious . I would definitely recommend and definitely be back!

I cannot begin to say how amazing this property was for our family vacation. Planning began almost a year prior w Lobsterfest being the reason for going… but the festival was cancelled and we already had plans so we went anyway. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. Loved how it was private but was so easy to get to where you wanted to go. Parking was great. The pool area was beautiful and easily accommodated our large group. Also the landscape was amazing and provided mostly cover in the pool area which was great for being in Key West in August with a lot of children. I highly recommend this property and would go back in a heartbeat. Also, for the record, this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave a review.

We had a great time staying here for our friend trip! The property was perfect for a large group. Space for everyone to hang out together, but also enough privacy with the individual rooms. Each unit had its own kitchenette and bathroom. The main house and the pool were awesome! Highly recommend this place for friend trips or any kind of group getaway!

All the main beds were very comfortable. Some of the sleeper sofa beds were less comfy than others. Fridge freezer in every room worked well as did all the ac units. Wi-Fi was strong enough to stream outside by pool. Would stay here again with a big enough group

We stayed with extended family and this was perfect as we had plenty of space to be together, but also room/and private spaces for people to spend time in. We had stayed there many years ago and it is clear that there have been improvements made ... we loved it than and even more now! Would highly recommend it.

Came down with the entire extended family and rented the whole place for five days. We greatly enjoyed papas hideaway. It’s a quiet location in key west with parking on the street. Walkable to everything. It’s gated with combination locks and video surveillance outside and in places on the grounds. Clean well lit rooms with kitchens and bathrooms. Bathroom mirrors have a no fog feature. Water pressure is reasonable. All kitchens have blenders and refrigerators. TVs work and are smart tvs. Washer and dryer work well.
The pool is heated to a comfortable 88 degrees which is fantastic. We used the leaf skimmer daily to clean it since it’s surrounded by palm and other trees.
We also used the propane outdoor barbecue several times for grilling.
Nice wrap around deck on the main house with rocking chairs and hammock swing. Hammock also nearby attached to trees. Plenty of chaise lounges by the pool. Outside shower and bathroom by the pool.

Great place for a large family. We had 5 different family groups and it was great. Everyone had their own privacy and all got together in the main house. Close to everything. Would highly recommend this property if you can use all 5 spaces.

The online pictures do not do this property justice. The property is gorgeous. We had 16 travelers from all over and it was perfect. It is close to activities, restaurants, bars. The southern most point is literally a stones throw away. Duval street is a couple blocks out. You can walk it or take a short Uber ride to the heart of it. We had an amazing time, mad life long memories and will be coming back again!

The rooms and grounds were spacious and comfortable, and the pool was relaxing as a great communal space to gather. Our group enjoyed having their individual spaces, but the ability to gather together outside on the grounds. The location was easy to find and walking distance of Duval Street and many other attractions and areas. Would absolutely consider for future trips!

Papas Hideaway was the perfect key west spot for our large group of 16 adults. We reserved the full property and it could not have been a better setup. The grounds were well maintained and was the perfect place to spend time gathering with lifelong friends by the pool and grill. The location is walkable to most of the desirable Key West locations but tucked away on a private street. The Vacasq staff were very helpful, even when one of the door entry codes was incorrect they quickly resolved the issue. I would definitely stay at Papas again if traveling with a large group.

This mini-compound "Papa's" is a true gem in Key West. So close to Duval street yet just far away enough from the crazy nightlife. I will be renting here again for either a company retreat or family reunion. It is such a gorgeous little tucked away property.

Ten friends went to warmer weather to de-stress from Christmas. The layout was perfect and situated on a dead end street. The pool in the courtyard was an extra bonus. The courtyard was lit up at night, providing the most reaxing vibe. We will be booking it again in the future. Thanks Vacasa!

The pictures online do not do this place justice. It is gorgeous, private and secluded yet right in the middle of the city. Walkable to restaurants and bars and sightseeing. We had 6 couples and everyone had their own private space. The grounds were so beautiful we didn’t even want to leave to explore the rest of Key West. Very clean, stocked with all necessities, easy to find, parking right in front of stay and great location.

I visited Papa’s with girlfriends and it was the perfect island gem! The main cottage was great for morning coffees on the back deck and the shaded pool was great for afternoon beverages and a cool swim after a hot day. We booked the entire compound of Papa’s Hideaway for out group of 12. The place is very nice and clean. The pool was a huge plus when just wanted to hangout with each other. The location is just off of Duval, which is great.

We booked the entire Papa's Hideaway complex for a four-day family holiday. Yes, there were some minor issues with this location such as late notification that the swimming pool was off limits, one of the refrigerators would freeze food rather than merely keep it cold and a couple of the TVs did not work. The staff was very accommodating to our concerns and willing worked with us to make this a memorable stay for the entire family. The location was excellent, staff helpful and cooperative and facilities good (not great... because some ongoing repairs are needed). Overall, our family enjoyed our stay at Papa's Hideaway and recommend this facility for those planning a visit to Key West!

It was wonderful to be in Key West with 15 of our family ranging in age from 2-80. Accommodations at Papas Hideaway afforded privacy as well as opportunities to be together. With Covid, we spent ad much time around the pool as possible. Units were well supplied and comfortable. Perfect location on Louisa Street, one block off Duvall on a dead end street.

The property was generally very nice. The location is good and the various units are great. However, apparently the property is used to store vacasa cleaning supplies. Accordingly, people would enter the property unannounced at random times to get supplies for other properties. Renters should be informed about this beforehand. Would definitely rent again.

We loved staying at Papa’s Hideaway! Beautiful, so convenient to all activities of the city and within walking distance. Only slight issue was being so dark at night since night pool and patio lights did not turn on till 10:30 pm, and they never fixed it even after asking multiple times. Also one Suggestion is to send out LOCAL phone number for Vacasa to person renting. Could be in the welcome email with codes. All we had were 800#’s. Either way we would recommend to stay there again for a large group like our of 12. ☀️🌴🐓🦎

Cannot recommend this place enough. We had a large group and it was extremely accommodating. The pool was a great place to beat the Key West heat. The outdoor area made it hard for us to even want to leave and go explore ha. The location was amazing, right near the Southernmost Point. I would absolutely stay here again. Loved it!

Our group enjoyed this retreat so much we had to come back and do it again. The staff at Vacasa were great letting us store our luggage while they continued getting the place ready for us. The cleaning was immaculate and we can't say enough great things about Papa's Hideaway. We enjoyed lounging in the pool after walking around checking out all of the sights. This tropical compound was the perfect location for a bachelorette party! We had 12 girls and each girl got her own bed/pullout. The main cottage and 4 guest cottages were incredible and there was plenty of parking! It was so nice to have our own private outdoor space to come together, but also to have the ability to retreat to private rooms to rest. The only annoying thing was that management was lurking around doing "projects" while we were there. One lady was there for almost two hours and kept going into the house while we were all hanging in the pool to install cable. There was also a guy painting the fence for a couple of hours and the pool guy came in every day. It almost seemed like we were being checked up on which was super obnoxious since it was a low key weekend. Hopefully it was just maintenance weekend and you won't experience that because it was paradise otherwise!

Papa's was the best, was there with my children and their spouses, and grandchildren. We had the whole place to ourselves, and it was great. Very secluded, and at the south end of the island. We enjoyed this property so much for our family vacation. We lived the entire stay by the poolside, morning, noon and night. It was the perfect common space between the main house and the guesthouse. Perfect location and walk away to the beach, or short bike ride, and all the activities in town and Duval Street. All king beds made sleeping comfortable and plenty of bathrooms. Only disappointment was the kitchen was not well stocked with pots and pans and utensils for cooking dinner at home. Very basic which made it hard for cooking. Luckily we had 2 nights catered and the other two we went out. We made do with what we had for our one dinner at the house all together. Hope the new owners keep this a rental. We would rent it again in a second!

Absolutely loved it!! Would stay there again and again. Beautiful pool area and very clean! There were 12 of us, so we had the whole property. Each unit was unique, and we were pleased with each one!! The outdoor space was spectacular! Because of that, we were only in our rooms to shower and sleep. Having refrigerators for drinks and ice was convenient. There were plenty of bath and beach towels. We had EVERYTHING we needed for our stay. There are an assortment of sizes of iguanas living on the property that often got close to see what we were doing. Before our stay, Vacasa sent emails, texts and called to see if we had any questions about our stay. The 12 of us have traveled together to Key West before and plan on returningagain. Papa's Hideaway is where we plan to stay during each visit!!

Myself and 11 other guests had an amazing time at Papa's Hideaway! The rooms are clean, furnished in a beachy Key West style, and are equipt with whatever is needed- beach towels, utensils for grilling, etc. We barbecued by the pool and enjoyed the patio. At night we continued swimming with the beautiful patio lighting. Loved the rocking chairs on the deck and the spacious breezeway of the larger home. I highly recommend booking this place for a larger party! It is well worth the money. Duval street was a short walk away- super convenient to go out drinking in the local bars/pubs. I wish I could have stayed at Papa's hideaway longer than one day! I will definitely book again. Thank you for an amazing stay!

It allowed the whole group to enjoy each other’s company by having shared meals and games & live music by the pool. The main house was comfortable and cute. Expect that it will some quirks as it is a ‘seasoned’ property. It was clean inside and out and the pool area is kept up, with a beautiful tropical environment. We did max out the sleeping, which meant that we had couples on pull-out couches. I must include that these were not the most comfortable. But again, just go into it knowing what you are getting. I sent 2 emails to Vacasa ahead of the trip, which were not returned. However, I got a personal phone call the day before my check-in. Also, we didn’t have enough gas for the grill so I called the same number back and a live person answered immediately, was courteous, and within 20 minutes, 2 new tanks arrived. This is definitely a wonderful property. We enjoyed our stay completely.

What a great place to have a family gathering. The compound really serves our purposes well. Having the pool and both building made our whole family comfortable. The owner was very nice and the management company was quick to respond to a minor issue. Couldn’t have asked for a better place for our Key West vacation.

We were a group of ten adults celebrating our 50th birthdays and this property was the perfect fit! Amazing landscaping, ample outdoor seating to gather for drinks, snacks and grilling, and the pool was awesome. The beds were comfortable and the location was ideal - very close to Duval. Definitely walking distance to everything. Highly recommend this property!

This was the perfect space to rent for a 20 person bachelorette/bachelor party! The shared pool and patio were by far our favorite hang out spot for the entire group. We would definitely come back!

This was a perfect space to host a 20 person Bachelorette party! It consists of a main “big” house and then 4 studio type apartments. The whole compound has lush vegetation and a high fence so you fee like you are in your own private oasis. The pool area is in the middle of the houses and was even better than I thought it would be. We loved the whole experience!

We had a group of college friends stay for a long weekend and Papa's Hideaway was perfect for our group. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the private pool was fantastic, and we were nice and close to Duval street. We'd definitely recommend to any large groups that are looking for a quiet but spacious place in Key West.

We had a group of 19 and this property did the trick for us. It’s extremely well taken care of. Housekeeping was awesome and they provide plenty of linens. Vacasa was a pleasure to work with and made everything from check-in to check-out simple and straightforward. The location was perfect, just far enough from the main part of Duval Street where you can still walk to everything. I would recommend this property if you are renting the entire thing, but personally I would find it a little awkward to only rent one of the rooms.

We rented the entire "complex" with 5 families for a wedding, it was perfect! The entire rental process went smoothly, the units were clean and perfect for what we needed. We had a couple of small issues during the stay and they were there quickly to assist us. It's peaceful at night, yet close enough to the "action" of Duval Street. If you like walking it's perfect and if you don't it's perfect too as there's a free Duval Loop trolley stop right outside your door to catch a ride! We'll be back for sure!

We expected a lot from the pictures of the property and somehow got more when we arrived. Beautiful relaxed atmosphere. The lodgings were big and had everything we needed in each accommodation. The pool was the perfect gathering area for everyone. Had the grill going around the pool. Amenities were more than you would need. Had a blast. The entire party had a great time and appreciate the detail that went into creating this hideaway paradise. We will be back.

I had a group of friends get together in the keys. When we arrived at the property we could not believe how amazing it was. Had the perfect combination of privacy and shared space. The main house was great cooking in the kitchen and serving people lunch and breakfast. We also had a few barbecues outside around the pool. The environment is perfect for the keys. Very relaxed. The attention to detail in the paradise is something. It was also a short walk to the southern most point and easy beautiful walk to nearby bars. My group couldn't have had more fun and we know the property made it all possible. We will be back. Thank you.

We were in Key West for our son’s wedding. We were looking for somewhere that would accommodate our extended family. Papa’s Hideaway was the place! We had family come in from various states & here we were able to all spend time together. The “compound” was the perfect place for a large group. We were able to host a luncheon as well as our son’s rehearsal dinner there. We would highly recommend Papa’s Hideaway!

I Took a trip with 16 girlfriends and we rented out the whole property. We had a great time! Plenty of space and it was great having our own private pool and space to hang out. IT was a short walk to the beach and duval street but also close to the duval loop bus stop if you would rather catch a ride. WE were sad to leave. Thanks so much for making our stay wonderful

We had a group of 6 couples. We stayed from the 2nd Dec to the 6th 2017. While the location is a bit away from the busy part of town we rented golf carts which were not exactly cheap, you could rent bikes much cheaper but we had several people with bad knees. We did find out that there is a new free bus route called the Duvall loop which has a stop right near papas. The place itself was great, my wife and I stayed in the two bed cottage with another couple in the other bedroom both have their own bath. The cottage was nice, has a living room area and a full kitchen which we did not use except the coffe maker and fridge. The beds were good in all the units as all said they were very comfortable. I can’t speak for the other four units on other things as I did not go in them but no one complained about them. The pool was awesome to come back too and take a dip in the heat of the day. There were several iguanas too watch and clean up after !!!! A minor inconvenience for the entertainment. The place is great for a large group like we had, we had the place to ourselves so we used the outdoor area quite a bit. We didn’t use the grill but if we go again next year we are planning on cooking a few meals although that might be tough as there are many great restaurants to choose from. This place isn’t the Ritz but is nice and well kept. If you are looking for perfection this probably isn’t your place, that isn’t meant to be an insult but I’ve read many reviews of other places where people nit pick every detail if you are like that go elsewhere. We felt that it was a good value especially for privacy for a big group.
