Papa's Hideaway is a really beautiful property, close enough to activity but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. The pool and shared space is very well landscaped, plenty of furniture, in great condition, and you are able to enjoy both sun and shade! One of our favorite activities was just lounging the the hammock. Parking was very easy, we had no problem finding a spot. Traffic is nearly zero, being a dead-end road. If it isn't clear in the description, outside of the unit is all shared space. We were lucky to have a very quiet stay here, not sure it's always like that.
My family (two children < 10) stayed in unit #1 which served our needs well. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the A/C worked great, and there were enough amenities to suit our needs. The unit was clean and in good condition. If you're bringing four people, however, expect to live out of your suitcases as there isn't much storage to actually unpack.

This private resort style property was so perfect, we wish we had booked it with more of our friends! The shared pool was decently spacious with plenty of private seating areas, and the location just a few blocks from the Hemingway home made museum adventures efficient. If we ever return to Key West (fingers crossed!) we will absolutely stay here again!

I could go on and on about how lovely Papa’s Hideaway is. We stayed with our two small children and it was perfect. Our room was more updated than the picture showed which is a nice surprise upon check-in. The grounds are immaculate and there’s a washer/dryer For community use, which came in handy while traveling as a family. The pool was awesome and the location was great to access the southernmost area of the island. We have been coming to Key West for 14 years and we can’t wait to stay again soon. If you have a group of people traveling together, you can rent out the whole compound which I believe is about six guestrooms. We have thought about maybe doing a big group trip sometime soon. It’s a nice secluded little place that feels private and safe.

Our first time in Key West was made so much the better by staying at Papa's Hideaway #1.
The entire property had a very intimate, exclusive resort feel and vibe. And the location was tremendous in the Old Town setting, minutes from everything we wanted to see and do.
The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet but extremely quaint.
The room was fantastic with all the amenities needed to make our stay that much more enjoyable.
If you are on the fence of booking this location , let our experience put the exclamation point on your reservation and travel destination decision.

The pool is not heated, which was great to cool off in after a day adventuring. All the details were as presented on Airbnb, facilities were great, location was just what I was looking for: Off the main area, but within easy walking distance of Hemingway House, Mallory Square & activities and variety of dining options. A/c and humidifer provided adjustable comfort as needed, good tv reception and internet connection. The pool was clean and refreshing, so nice. Vacasa's local office was available for immediate assistance as needed, very reassuring. I would definitely do this again on any future visit to Key West, and use Vacasa via Airbnb for future trips.

Our stay at Papa's House #1 was delightful! It was exactly as the pictures showed - all was very clean and the entire place was quite quaint! Our fave things included the chicken visitors (made me miss mine at home) and the gorgeous orange lizard hanging out in the tree. Everything you'll need is either provided at the rental or very nearby. This was really a perfect location and quite walkable to Duval St, scooter/bike rentals and endless restaurants, bars & shops!

This is an ideal place for a getaway! It feels very private and secluded, but you are still very close to everything. The porches are closed in so you get the open air feel while still having some privacy. The pool and grill were clean. The pool area was VERY pretty. During the week and there was only one couple there so it was very chill and private. On Friday a lot more people showed up and it was louder and not AS private feeling. You are in somewhat close proximity to your neighbors. Would be great as a large group that booked all the units in the compound together! The studio was nice and clean. There is no dishwasher or ice maker, so be sure to buy a bag of ice. Dinnerware, coffeemaker, blender, cookware, and staples like dish soap and paper towels are provided. Would definitely stay here again!

Also a block away from dining on Duval Street and 2 blocks from Southernmost Point. Overall, great place to stay and cozy. What a lovely place on a quiet street. The courtyard is beautiful with lots of tropical plants and palms. Was quiet and comfortable. Enjoyed sitting by the pool at night watching the color changing lights. Very close to some great little restaurants like the Banana Cafe. The butterfly Conservatory was about a five minute walk.We will definitely be back! Check in and communication was excellent!

This place is super secluded. It’s nice for a romantic get away. The pool area is very intimate and relaxing. The place is very well kept and cleaned nicely. Another couple in our group rented a unit underneath us so it was almost like we had our own private villa and experience with just our friends and was able to enjoy the amenities without a big crowd of strangers. I would rent here again for a nice getaway with a significant other or a group of couples again.

This place is so much more that it looks online! The private, gated entrance and courtyard are beautiful. You feel so secluded, and it is very quiet, but you are blocks away from the Southernmost Point and a great beach-side restaurant and the Hemingway House and the lighthouse (both must see's!), and the far end of Duval Street. We would definitely come back here again! For longer stays, there is a BBQ grill. You have your own private porch, fully outfitted kitchenette, parking right outside the gate and a nice airy room with a couch, TV and comfy king size bed with amazing pillows. The only downside is that the bathroom is a little small, but the water is steaming hot - its perfect for 2 people. Thank you!

At first we didn’t see a lot of reviews which made me skeptical but I found out that they rent the room out on their own website as well and that’s where a lot of their bookings are done.
The place truly feels like a bungalow. It’s beautifully clean and not one thing to complain about. We loved it as well as the courtyard and pool. It’s also close to the southern most point in the USA. How cool! I Recommend this place to anyone.

Lovely private garden area around the pool. After a day of bike riding around Key West it was very pleasant to return to the quiet and cool of the garden and enjoy the pool Couple of Iguanas moved from Palm tree to palm tree- fun to watch-

Great little oasis from all the commotion in the surrounding area. The grounds have a lot of lush vegetation, which appears to be a perfect habitat for at least a couple of iguanas that hang out on the property. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The only thing to note is that there was a roach that crawled out of the bathroom sink as I was brushing my teeth. I didn't totally freak out but if that were my wife, there would definitely be screaming! Everything else was perfect for us.

I can totally recommend you to stay here if you are planning to visit Keywest!
The room is perfect, the equipment is clean, and location is nice.
They replace the towels and clean the room everyday.
The Southernmost Point, one of the most famous spot in Keywest, is so close to the room. It takes 1-2 minutes from you by walk. You can easily access there in the morning walk. (It is crowded in the daytime)

The hot tub was super nice to have in the evenings, although adjusting the temperature one night was did not want to heat up, but all the other times it was great. The location really couldn't be beat for us. It was close enough but far enough away at the same time to Duval. You will be walking a little, but we didn't mind. Renting a scooter is a must. We had a ball and can't wait to book our next trip!

This was by far the best place we stayed during our Christmas vacation. The property was immaculate. The hot tub was perfect after a day of walking around Key West. The shower was huge with great water pressure! The bed comfy. Plenty of towels. LOVED being able to do laundry!! We had our coffee on the back deck and it was so peaceful. My son used the fold out couch & it was nice. Overall I would come back to this unit every vacation. (probably would rent a bike as it is to far to walk to Duval street)

It was a pretty long walk (20 blocks?) to the famous attractions but Key West is so cute, we didn't mind. The courtyard with pool was also very nice, and the hot tub was great after a long day of walking around. Great place!

Sure we could drive and pay to park, but walking was so much better!! The property had everything we needed and was very comfortable for the 2 of us! Everything worked fine from the AC to the dishwasher to the stove to the fridge! Check-in and check-out was completely hassle-free! The hot tub on the deck was an added bonus and very nice after spending the day playing Tourist!! Nice quiet neighborhood! Slept peacefully all 3 nights we were there in a HUGE comfortable bed!! Also appreciated the safe being there to safeguard our valuables we didn't take along each day.

We had a wonderful stay. The balcony was great to sunbath. The kitchen is fully functional. We locked ourselves out and help came shortly to let us in. I even drop my wedding ring under the deck, and within an hour, after drilling and removing part of the deck, the ring was back on my finger! Great Staff!

Reviewer Comments: First time (staying) in KW, I looked at Trip Advisor reviews and decided this condo/complex was ideal as there were 2 other couples staying for a wedding and this would put us all together. We rented the Osprey's Nest while the other couples stayed at the Palm Isles and Flamingo. The condo was clean and decorated with an island motif, the bed was amazingly comfortable, walk-in shower was huge, kitchen was perfect for the two of us (bring a few staples as there weren't any in the kitchen), loved the back deck (only unit with sun)sparkling clean hot tub that we didn't use as it was too hot to enjoy. Also, the pool is really a large spa, you won't be doing AM laps in it, but it was fine for us and if you ask the management, they will give you a gate key to another property with a large pool. Only complaint is a couple of times we were woke up at 4:00 AM to what we think was a very noisy garbage truck. I would recommend this condo to a friend .... side note Flamingo is like walking into a dark cave, the advantage is the pool is right outside the deck but so are other guests that may be enjoying it at the same time. If you have a choice pick any of the other three, but I think Osprey won!

As a first time visitor to Key west we were very pleased with our rental of Ospreys Nest . The location was excellent , the unit was spacious , clean and well equipped . I was very impressed with Key West Rentals and the treatment they provided us with. On our next visit to Key West I will definitely look to stay at the same property under the same management company. In regards to activities we did a jet ski tour which was awesome. We booked through Fury and had a small group of 5 jet skis. We noticed some other company's had groups of 10. That's just way too many. Our sunset cruise was through Sebago and again on a boat of only 26. Some other sunset cruise boats were packed with people. In our opinion smaller group sizes provided an overall better experience. We rented bikes through Eaton bike rental. A definite must to experience the island and much cheaper than scooter rentals ( but hey if money isn't an issue go for the scooters for the fun of it) . Our favorite food stops were The Conch Shack ( conch fritters at the end of Duval) Garbos Grill ( lunch truck on Greene street ) , Old Town Bakery ( on Eaton street , morning stop, soooo good ! ) , by recommendation from a local The Cafe on Southard Street ( my favorite for a meatless meal) and Santaigos Bodego ( tapas bar on Petronia) . We had an awesome week in Key West from start to finish.

A short and enjoyable bike ride to all the attractions. Wonderful front and rear porches from which you can watch the world go by! Very clean with all the amenities, including full size ironing board and two beach chairs! Quality of maid service is hit or miss depending which person you get. The only complaint I had was the down stairs neighbors slamming thier door closed multiple times a day(and night). Rental office is very professional and genuine! We have stayed in this unit twice a year for the last eight years, and choose not to go to another location! Truly a home away from home.

Great location. Sweet Historical house,so comfortable. Not just one deck but Two! The staff treated us like royalty. Anything needed was promptly brought, or done. The ride to and from the airport was very nice. Enjoyable, the drivers great. We would get up to watch the sunrise in the East off of white Street pier and watch the sunset to the west. Walked miles everywhere. How fun is that!!! Oh.. the hot tub off the back deck amazing at night, well day also. Definitely would recommend to anybody and all. Lastly...Amazing foods from everywhere not far away. Ohio and Oregon sister and son :) :) :)

Osprey's nest is approx.20 blocks to "downtown" and night life. We were in town for 1/2 marathon, not first timer to K.W., bye bye B&B's, hello Osprey's Nest! See you again!
