We absolutely loved our stay at Papa's Hideaway, perfect location is close to restaurants and other area attractions. It was perfect for us.. Vacasa thought about everything and we felt right at home. The bed and the pillows were really comfortable. The outdoor pool area was such a beautiful scenery. It was so peaceful. Well, maintained and very Clein. I give kudos to the whole staff that made it so lovely..really enjoyed our stay and we'll be back..

This place is LOVELY! We enjoyed our time at Papa's Hideaway #4. We were pleasantly surprised with how large the room seemed compared to the photos. The heated pool, washer & dryer availability and pristine grounds were added bonuses. We only had difficulty with an 800 number provided for questions once there. It seemed to go to a foreign office somewhere, and we were cut off twice before giving up. We wanted to let them know the TV was not working properly. However, we walked to the Vacasa office the next day to report the problem.

This place is a very nice quiet place surrounded by a lot of trees and greenery. Walkable to local restaurants and other attractions. Overall very happing with the stay.
Seems this #4 recently had a nice interior upgrade, however, the photos seem old, they should update the photos to reflect the current condition.
Please note there is no stove top with the upgrade, only Microwave, and refrigerator, however interior seems pretty good.
Also had issues with wifi within the room, outside near the pool, and in the garden section, it was working fine.
Overall very happy with stay.

So happy we chose this spot for our trip! Easy from check in to check out. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy. The room offered nice extras that I wasn’t expecting. Always love having a king sized bed and the room was well set up well to accommodate that and many other things! The location was great! So close to everything(yet tucked away in a quiet space), we walked every where and only needed to Uber to the airport! Would not hesitate to stay again!

The location makes it worth the price. Highly recommend.
I had to call the host and got a very helpful person!
Be sure to eat at Moondogs restaurant....2 blocks away. And recommend Irish Kevins bar!
We did the sunset cruise with Fury and the kayaking with Danger. Both were great.

My fiancé’s first comment was “10/10 will stay again”, the grounds were secluded, well maintained, clean, the lighting on point. I enjoyed the pool. The location was spot on for a short walk to the attractions, parking was convenient, and the bed was superb, even though we barely used it. Do yourself a favor and grab a group of friends and rent out the entire property for a hell of a good time in Key West!

If your looking for a beautiful place to take your family of 10 or just your lady and yourself then this is the place is was absolutely paradise in every sense of the word. Just don’t be surprised when you have a 6 ft iguana walk by you all non chalant. Bottom line you cannot go wrong with papas hideaway

Awesome location! 1 block from Duvall street, we spent a lot of time walking up and down Duvall going to restaurants, shops and bars. Also around the corner from the famous southernmost point photo op. We loved swimming in the pool! Found a convenient parking spot right across the street from the apartment. The actual space is a little small- definitely 2 person max with a small bathroom, making it difficult for more than 1 person to get ready at a time. We had a wonderful experience in Key west and it was hard to say no to the late check out option which could have extended our trip and pool time another 7 hours. Would stay here again!

This was a great spot. Behind Duval Street and right around the corner from the Southernmost point, you can walk to pretty much anything from this location. The private pool area was a great little oasis, and the room itself was very comfortable and quiet. Way better deal than the pricey resorts, and a much better way to experience the true Key West.

This great little spot is walking distance to all of the major Key West points of interest. It is close to the southernmost point, and is much quieter than Duval street. The heated pool is an added bonus. Way more affordable than the big resort hotels.

We loved this place so much we forgot to check out - no kidding - the manager had to call and remind us our stay was up. Great location - convenient to the public beaches and all the old town attractions. Our studio room was small, but very comfortable and accommodating. The grounds are charming.

This place lived up to its hideaway name. Little tropical oasis in a perfect location to walk to everything. 900 ‘ from the southern most point. Great amenities, pool, laundry, grill etc. all guest were supper friendly. Will absolutely be back.

My wife and I stayed here and fell in love with the place. We felt like VIP travelers when we were picked up by the limo shuttle at the airport and dropped right off at the house. Once we walked through the front gate it opened up into a beautiful courtyard with a pool and it was almost exactly how I imagined a Key West place to look like. The place was clean and inviting and had everything we needed for a short stay. We loved the location because it was so close to the Southernmost point buoy where there a good photo ops. You were also just an easy walk away from the lighthouse and the Ernest Hemingway House. We loved exploring Key West and we're already making plans to return with our friends and family to try and rent all of Papa's Hideaway.

We loved the location...quiet dead end street ( not many pedestrians going by) quick walk to Southern Most Point, Hemingway House & Lighthouse mueseum. If you plan to party on Duvall street best to rent bikes or bring good walking shoes. It's not a 5 star hotel but a cozy low key place to stay. We sat by the pool in the evenings and late afternoons. Be prepared to see an Iguana (we had 4 of them hang by the pool). Check in and out was easy. Bed was comfy and bathroom clean. We didn't use this stove but appreciated the fridge. I will echo a previous review-the grounds and pool area could use some tidying up. We will defiantly be back and are planning to bring a group of friends to utilize the entire place!

If you drive in you can park your car and for get it. Rent a bike or walk to all the hot spots in town. What we found to be the best part was just sitting by the pool at night. I had an issue with a very large (yet common) palmetto bug as soon as we arrived and they jumped right on making me know that none would come back. The pool was clean, cool and refreshing and large enough to fit multiple people. The grounds were tropical with daily iguana visitors. The room was perfection! Bed was large and comfortable, kitchen clean with everything we needed, altho we never needed it. Bathroom updated and clean and perfect. I was beyond pleased with my vacation choice and would recommend anyone to stay her. Walking distance from Southern Most point for Sunrise!

Had a great trip and really enjoyed the seclusion of the property, its pool and grill area. Felt like our own private space, and when ready to enjoy the fun of Duvall we just had a block or two to join the action. Room was as advertised-- enjoyed having a small cook top and fridge in the unit. Overall it was a perfect location for our trip, and when we come back we plan to rent here again! Front desk staff was helpful with recommendations for activities and when the gas grill ran out of propane there was a staff member there within 30min to replace tank-- faster than running out to store yourself for sure!

The other guests were super friendly when they were around. The unit was very clean and accommodating but we didn't feel like hanging out inside much. A lot to do within a 15 minute bike ride! The patio area was nice and private. We rented bikes from Key West Rentals one block up and they were great. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance! Recommend Captain's Table for diving/snorkeling experience. Loved it will definitely stay at Papa's Hideaway next time.

Recently visited Key West for the first time and had an amazing experience with Key West Vacation Rentals. For a girls trip, three ladies in their late 20's, Papa's Hideaway exceeded our expectations. We arrived at Key West past the check in time, the directions on where to pick up the key and instructions were extremely clear. Arriving at Papa's Hideaway was easy too, and parking was great, we never moved the rental car during our entire stay. We were immediately impressed with the property as soon as we walked through the entrance, it's so quiet and serene! Our rental was perfect for us, very clean and everything worked properly. The pool was a great way to cool off after long days of walking all over Key West. This property is located about two blocks from the Southernmost Point, you can see it before turning on the street to the property, very cool! Overall us ladies felt very safe and relaxed here and would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!

Picture is exactly was you get. Clean room, bathroom alittle small but it was clean and that's what matters most. Loved the private table and chairs outside to enjoy your morning coffee or a nice glass of wine. Grounds are well maintained and pool area is very nice. Would stay here again!!

I inquired if anything had changed, and was told no, everything was the same as before. When I arrived to check in, I was told breakfast was no longer available. That was a 100 dollar extra expense for me that was not expected. I think the breakfast added a bit of warmth, and you could get to know folks. I did miss that warm way to start the day. The staff are fantabulous, the property manager, Rick was accepting of our feedback, and I booked the same unit again for next year! The check in/out staff are awesome, and helpful. The driver Tom picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and that was wonderful! Also, the microwave konked out & they brought another one. The only thing I would add is shelves in the kitchen, luggage racks, and some hooks in the bath room, and a shower caddy that fits the shower. Will always love Papas! Miss it already as I'm looking at snow falling is very minute. = )

There's free parking right outside the gate, which is a real plus. We just left the car parked there during our stay. It's a pleasant stroll over to the south end of Duval which is short on t-shirt shops but has great restaurants and galleries. It's just a few blocks to the southernmost point and you can have all the raucous fun you want starting a few blocks north on Duval.
