Our family of 8 had plenty of space to enjoy this amazing vacation destination. If you think the listing looks good, it is 1000x better in person. We caught fish, enjoyed relaxing by the pool, playing in the game room, cooked in the well appointed outside kitchen and visited local attractions. This home feels warm and welcoming. It did not feel at all like we shouldn’t touch anything, instead it invites you to investigate everything and use whatever is available. Every need is met in this home. We would
be happy to stay here again soon!!

Wonderful home! We had an amazing Spring Break staying here. We were a family of 8, 3 generations, ages 5 - 71 yrs. There was something for everyone! Kayaks, paddleboard, indoor and outdoor games, swimming pool, fishing pier, firepit, outdoor kitchen, hammock, swing--it's all here!The house is perfect in every way--updated, comfortable, clean, everything you need and more. The covered, open-air, outside dining area next to the pool was ideal for meals. The long pier was amazing; we saw pelicans, herons, egrets, stingrays, barracuda, nurse sharks, sea hares, snapper, a scrawled cowfish (had to look that one up!), needle fish, and spiny lobster! The sunsets from the back area are stunning! The game room was even better than expected. In fact, the entire property is even better than the pictures you see online. So much thought has been put into this rental, we seldom wanted to leave for the entire week. We don't plan to stay anywhere but here when we are in the Keys area!

We had an awesome trip! The property is beautiful and has lots to do. We did a lot of fishing and it was well accommodated for that. The dock was able to accommodate our 27 foot rental boat all week. Highly recommend. I would love to visit again.

Absolutely amazing trip - 100% worth it! Hosts/owners were fantastic, the place was clean and felt like a home away from home. The sunsets were amazing - and the fish we saw!! We saw nurse sharks, turtles, parrot fish, lobster, crab, stingrays etc. All from the doc. We even snorkeled and it was amazing. Excellent stay, we will be back!

This property is wonderful. The home is clean, fully stocked (especially with towels), and a wonderful place to stay. We love thw private pool, and the private dock is simply amazing. We definitely took advantage of it and enjoyed every moment.

My family and I stayed here for a week and had an incredible time! The house is beautiful and spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Our teenagers (14 & 17) loved the game room with shuffle board, PacMan, and Ping Pong. It also had bean bags, pool volleyball, floaties, and numerous board games. Pool is perfect and I would recommend paying the extra fee for heat. Well worth the cost! The outdoor patio / grill area was a favorite place to hang out and play games. We got to see multiple fish, sting rays, and a baby shark off the dock. One morning a family of dolphins even swam by. Amazing!!
The only issues were some contradicting information regarding checkout but Vacasa was prompt in responding and honored the original information sent to us. And the WiFi is very spotty. This didn’t bother us as we were there to enjoy the weather / scenery but if someone hoped to work remotely it may be difficult.
Highly recommended this place!! We will be back.

The house has a "wonderful perch", overlooking the Gulf. Plenty of places to hang out - whether on the porch in rockers, in the pool lounge chairs or even the hammock! Living room and dining room views superb as well. All house systems worked perfectly. While you need to drive a short distance to restaurants, the location allows an array of choices in either direction. Although none of us fished, this would be quite the place for that!

My family and I stayed here for 10 days Labor Day week. There were 7 adults and a 3 year old. We spent hours on end enjoying the snorkleing around the docks seeing tons of wildlife. Right from the docks we saw dolphins almost daily, sea turtles, stingray, sharks, and all kinds of different fish and birds. Having the pool was excellent for the 3 year old because the design allowed him to play in shallow enough water he could splash around and stand in, while the rest of us were able to swim in the deeper spots. The house was extremely well cleaned, and had absolutely all of the ammenities you need to feel at home. Never once did we wish for something to be different. The entire family plans to return back yearly, as there’s so much to do 10 days just isn’t enough time!

This place was great for our family of 6 (4 kids and 2 adults). We brought our boat down and the dock was great and easy to park on. The house was very nicely decorated. We did have a few issues with bugs in the house but that is kind of expected in Florida. There also was not an ice maker which was described in the listing when it listed the bait freezer was next to the ice maker. Overall, it was great and we enjoyed it. We cooked a lot, swam, played outside and caught a ton of lobster and fish.

Do not hesitate to stay here. We were in heaven for an entire week! The home is beautiful and has so much more than any rental home we have stayed in. The beds were extremely comfortable with a lot of extra pillows, blankets. They supplied an abundance of bath towels and even beach towels The kitchen was well equipped with everything! The dock was the best part as we saw many fish and small sand sharks daily. The sunsets were spectacular and the pool was nice. The outdoor entertaining area was great to sit and relax to cool off. There is everything you need on the outside and inside the home. Vacasa was extremely helpful and responded quickly to our questions. I would rate this property a 10,000 if I could ! We had a wonderful time here and definitely plan to return.

So many amenities, I could have left lots of things at home. Kids enjoyed the pool and snorkeling in the gulf. Guest services brought a blender for us some the one in the house didn’t work. Great fall stay in the keys!

This is the place! We were a family of 7, with 3 generations. This house was perfect!
The location put us in the middle of the Keys and gave us great access to everything. There was a lot to do very close the the house including the the Dolphin Research Center. We had plenty of room for everyone in the house -the primary suite is much bigger than pictured. The shower was great for getting tired kids clean fast, and great for adults needing a little luxury. The dining room table is huge, and the couch was a heat spot for doing puzzles. Outside was perfect -we used the pool for hours and hours daily. It was perfect for kids! We even had a family dance party with glow sticks. We enjoyed the fire pit and beautiful nights watching the sun set. We saw all sorts fish and sea life -checking for sharks became a thing we did multiple times a day. We caught so many fish off the dock that it was crazy -even caught a few sharks! The kayaks we’re great, we used them several times. Loved it!!

This house was absolutely amazing! The pictures don’t even do it justice. It was so well stocked with everything we needed, plus lots of extras like a ton of kayaks, pool floats, games, snorkel gear! We had 2 families stay for a week and had the most incredible time. The house is in an awesome location for fishing and lobstering and we had no issues parking our boat along the long dock. I could easily stay at this house for a month. It has everything you need. We played hours of corn hole, kayaked, watched the fish by the dock, swam and sunned ourselves by the pool, grilled out and watched playoff games in the outdoor kitchen/family area. We enjoyed several different restaurants that were close by. One of my favorite vacations by far.

We booked this trip to celebrate my moms retirement! We had 4 adults and it was everyone’s first time to the keys. We absolutely loved our stay! We spent the majority of our days in the pool, on the dock and hanging in the outdoor living space. We loved the dock and saw tons of wildlife during our week stay, including nurse sharks, barracudas, sting rays, lobster and lots of colorful fish! We also really enjoyed the kayaks. The house itself was very clean and well stocked. Everything in the kitchen was labeled and easy to find and put away which we loved. The ac worked really well and the beds were comfy. We had one small issue while we were there (which was no one’s fault) and the owners and property management team took care of it immediately! They were very communicative and easy to work with. Don’t hesitate to book this house!!!

We enjoyed staying here! After being out and about during the day it was nice to come back to the house and relax. Everyone had their choice of relaxing: in the pool, next to the fire pit, kayaking or watching television. Being in the “middle” of the keys made most things very accessible. The dock was great. We rented a boat for the day and we’re able to come back for lunch, then head out again. Would definitely stay here again!

Don't let the window coming in full you, this place was great. Central to the Keys, you could get to Key West or Islamorada easily. The house is quaint and laid out perfect for our vacation. We really enjoyed the outside area and the kitchen was well stocked. The internet worked well and the pool temperature was fine in March.

We loved this house! It was beautiful, very clean, and well stocked. The outdoor area was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. We loved the all the outdoor seating, and the landscaping was fabulous. It was a kind of odd location, sandwiched between a trailer park and a marina, but it was very private, which is what we wanted.

This home is gorgeous- what you see in the pictures is what you get! We had a wonderful vacation here and there isn't a thing that the owners missed. It was beautifully decorated, very clean, comfortable beds and just FABULOUS all around. It was one of the most peaceful/relaxing vacations we have had in a long time. My boys (well all of us really) enjoyed the dock and looking at all the fish and sharks - YES I said sharks but don't worry only nurse sharks! My boys caught one the very first night we were there and then caught 4 all together. Oh and did I mention Iguana's? Holy cow, huge ones - we were all stunted at what we saw in Florida, that we have never seen before - such a fun/great experience. The only slight negative I would give on this place, is the live camera. At first it didn't bother me, but when the thermostat kept being changed through nest, is when I started to get a tad creeped out, because I felt like we were being watched and the owners knew every time we would come and go. I totally get why they have them, but still its a little creepy and unsettling. This location is perfect for the low key/private vacation. We enjoyed renting a pontoon boat for two days and parking it at the dock, relaxing at the pool (the water temperature was perfect), cooking out and watching TV outside. We did go down to Key West for a day and it was a blast but were excited to return to the quietness of Marathon! None of us wanted to leave and would definitely rent this home again- no questions asked! The layout was perfect and my husband and I agreed when we build our home, this exactly how we want it!

We have rented dozens of houses for vacation and this was, by far, the most well thought out rental. Every detail was thought of. We had a great week!

We had a fantastic time at this home. The pool, by far, was the biggest draw. My sons also loved fishing off the very long dock and caught numerous fish (the people next to us caught a nurse shark). We did have a minor issue with the wifi. We checked in on Saturday and it was not fixed until Monday. The owner keeps the router in a locked room downstairs and the password was not accepted so, after a call to Vacasa on Sat and then Sunday, the manager had to come and reset the password on Monday. We were also vacationing when the ocean breezes were very gusty. This brought in a lot of sea grass to shore which, by the end of our hot vacation, did not smell to great but it is Grassy Key. Even these few minor issues did not ruin how wonderful this house is. It is completely remodeled and very tasteful. No one was ever bored and we all had plenty of room to get away from one another. The pool is a heated, saltwater pool and perfect. We also liked the Sirius sat radio (just like home) by the pool and the handy pool bathroom. Thank you for sharing this Florida Keys home with us. Just a note to those trying to find the home, be aware that when we traveled the road to the home was not marked and looks like an old blacktop driveway between the closed baitshop and the blue apartment building, right after the Dolphin Rescue Center. If you are looking for a road sign you can easily miss it.

This house was perfect. We loved the pier, and the sunsets on the pier, we loved the house..very coastal feel. Everything was there. The grill worked, and it was fun to cook in. The bedrooms and bathrooms were really nice. Our stay had a few cool days, but the pool was heated. XM radio available by pool and out to end of pier, which is no small feat seeing it is 100yds long! Outdoor furniture was perfect. Wifi was fast, Netflix on tv. You won't be disappointed, so just say you're "all in" and stop thinking about it!

Awesome property where they have thought of everything to make your stay easy, comfortable, and fun. Little things like the Tiki Toss, Corn Hole, and other fun items. Easy to move people from upstairs to downstairs to the dock, pool, or wherever and seating was plentiful. Rooms are very comfortable for everyone. Great place to watch a sunset.

The house was more beautiful than the pictures. The dock was out of this world. The house was labeled and organized perfectly. Loved the outdoor kitchen,chilled pool, bait freezer and ice machine. Having a marina around the corner was pretty handy as well. We have stayed in numerous houses in marathon and this was our favorite.

This home became our home for the week we spent here during the Memorial Day week. The property is private with a long dock into the bay. We kayaked, snorkeled and fished all week long. The snorkeling is fun and there are tons of fish, lobsters and other wildlife to view. There are other great spots to snorkel and fish within a short drive. We saw shark, sting ray AND a manatee (that was a great treat!) right off the dock. Every detail is seen to at this property. The furnishings were new and well designed and there are views from the living areas that are stunning! And, of course, stunning sunsets every evening which you cam see from anywhwre on the dock and patio. There is a great outdoor kitchen and covered patio as well as yard games, hammocks and a wonderful pool! This is a part of Marathon that is quieter. We had a short drive to shop (15 mins ) for groceries and there are several small local shops that we went to for ice cream treats and souvenirs. There are some great local restaurants we tried, the Island Fish Co. (the sandwiches and wings are great and good local beer selection) and The Florida Keys Steak and Lobster House, pricier but fabulous food (you have to try the creme brule in a grilled pinapple - devine!) The guys went to Bud and Marys Marina in Islamarada one day for a deep sea fishing trip and brought back Mahi and Tile for dinner! All that being siad, we loved it here! It was our first time to the keys and this was the perfect place for our family to reconnect, relax and recharge together!

Very spacious home for 2 families of 4. We use VRBO frequently and this home was by far the cleanest and most organized home. You don't need to bring anything other than your clothes and flip flops! So many places to sit and relax. We loved walking out on the dock and looking for sea life during the day. The pool and outdoor kitchen were wonderful as well. Our group included 8 people, 2 couples and our adult children. We fell in love with this Grassy Key house! Whether we ventured out with our rental boat to snorkel and fish or spend the day kayaking or by the pool, this place is delightful. The dock gave us hours of enjoyment. We saw a couple of bull sharks (small), rays, lobsters, fish of course and even a turtle one day. We could hear the sea lions or seals and 'Flipper' from down around the corner at the Dolphin Research Center. The bagpiper from the RV park signaled happy hour every day. The house is beautifully decorated, the landscaping and garden lighting lovely. A little piece of paradise! We hope to be back one day.

The house met all of our needs and then some. The area has been a favorite of ours for decades. We always manage to find something new to experience. Vacasa was really great to work with - very responsive to any questions we had. Would book through them again.

We stayed at 86 Pelican Road from 10/15/16-10/29/16. The house was great, and the dock even better! Great entertainment area beneath the home with everything you need for great entertainment. The ocean views from the living room are unbelievable, and fishing from the dock was fun. We brought a boat, the only thing I would caution renters is backing a boat trailer into the driveway is a bit tricky! Overall, we had a great time and the property was in great condition!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in this house. The property manager, Robert, was extremely responsive, friendly and accommodating. The house had everything we could imagine from outdoor living, cooking, lounging space to kids toys, movies, etc. The master bedroom was huge was great views and an amazing shower. We loved spending time outdoors on the dock, in the pool, laying in the hammock and watching sunsets. The location of the house was very private, but close to shops, restaurants and public parks and beaches. We always found fun things to do. We also liked that islamorada was not a far drive or boat ride. We will recommend this house to everyone we know. Thanks for making our vacation so memorable and thinking of so many details.

Better than we expected, the place is like new!! Very clean!! We may stay there again next year!! Your all set if you fish has a nice long pier of which we rented a 23 ft Mako fishing boat and docked it at the end of the pier. The place has a ice machine and a bait freezer, a beautiful outdoor grilling area next to the pool. Have the pool chilled!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely rent this house again. The home is beautiful and the grounds nearly perfect (a little less grass on the beach please). We all made good use of the pool, dock and kayaks. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. The beds were comfy and the living area large and inviting. The only small issue was the cleaning crew wasn't on their best game. Bathrooms needed a little more attention and floors were done too quickly. Nothing we couldn't take care of though.

This home had so much provided and had so much to do that we found ourselves rarely venturing out. We ate out a handful of times and booked a snorkeling tour, but other than that we never left the house! We utilized the pool, the kayaks, the outdoor kitchen, and the dock. The dock is great for snorkeling or just sitting and drinking coffee in the morning. You can pretty much see to the bottom all the way out to the end of the dock, and there's plenty of marine animals to observe just beneath it. Not only would I recommend this place to friends, I already have to several! Lastly, if you do stay at this property, bring some high quality (with a neutral/gray tint so as not to alter colors) polarized sunglasses. It may seem a bit silly, but by cutting the glare off the water, the blues and greens of the sky and ocean are brilliant from the dock. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

What a great trip down with (2) other families. The home was warm, inviting and LARGE! The grounds are perfect for anything and everything. Kids fished off the dock, dog loved the outdoor freedom. Really a beautiful home. Close to everything!

Large spacious house, well equipped, easy access to all the attractions , great local restaurants , every thing you need is within a reasonable distance , long key state park right up the road , a++++ great snorkeling right off the dock , lots of marine life off the dock , booked two weeks for 2017 Thank you

Our family spent a wonderful week at the Grassy Key House. The house is very comfortable with a great layout. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you could possibly need. It was extremely helpful to have all cabinets and drawers labeled so that things could be returned to the right place. Having 8 kayaks was a true bonus. The pool was perfect for adults and the grandchildren. The outside grill area was like having a second kitchen and dining area. We loved having so many of our meals outside. We will definitely return.

Nice house, seemed like new. Someone really has to clean a house in Marathon to get a rental house that clean. Dock was A1 if you have a boat.

We enjoyed the house and all the sites we visited. We ate several times at the Grassy Key Outpost. The food, service and atmosphere were very good. The Sombrero beach while small is very pleasant with beautiful sunsets. All in all there is plenty to do even with poor weather
