This home was close to everything we love to do in Marathon and we would definitely choose this for our next stay. Perfect for 2 people, everything was clean, beautiful area, and had everything we needed.

Very nice place to stay. It was clean and had everything we needed. We used the grill once (it's huge) and it too was clean and worked great. We had an issue with the clothes washer, and the manager was right on top of it and had a repair person come out that same day. Highly recommend this place.

Small size of home was perfect for the two of us . Very clean . Nice size splash pool . Prompt customer service for a couple of issues . Would stay here again . Liked location & proximity to restaurants, shops & grocery stores

Very clean, idyllic, rental on the water that was one of the best we’ve visited. Weather was perfect, sailed on Sweet Chariot (42’ Jeanneau Sun Odyssey), visited Turtle Hospital, gave manatees a short drink of fresh water from our dock. On top of that, the best seafood choices from numerous restaurants. Want to have a drink or two? Call Island Taxi for a few bucks. Gorgeous view from our dock, pool was crystal clear. Parking was off the street behind a sliding gate. We felt very secure the entire time. We went up to the loft mainly for the view from the upper deck. (The spiral staircase would not work well for two almost 70 yr olds visiting the bathroom at night.) Kids would love it. Kitchen appliances were great and worked well. You need to remember there is no garbage disposal so large food leftovers go in the trash. Single bathroom would be a stretch for groups over 4 so just remember to be patient, go sit in the sun with a beverage of your choice, and wait for your turn. Grab some Natalie’s Grapefruit juice, Grey Goose vodka and a pinch of salt and enjoy your perfect Greyhound!

This place was great. Right off the water. The house was clean. There were a ton of towels. The kitchen was lacking a few basic supplies. The host was very communicative and easy to get ahold of. We would absolutely stay there again.

Tree in front where you park need to be trimmed badly.
Water pressure is a low on all sinks. Kinda weird. Great place super clean. Nice plunge pool always shaded.

Great place if you have kids - they can enjoy the stairs and sleeping upstairs. Very close to the beach and the pool is so worth it! The Kitchen is also nice!

Definitely a home away from home! My husband and I spent an amazing week for our anniversary. It was great to have the amazing pool and grill after a long day. The place was neat and very clean! All kitchen essentials for cooking, dish soap, wash machine pods and shampoo etc supplied and paper towels . Plenty of towels and extra sheets too. Husband caught a few fish off pier, no keepers but fun. We had a rental car and was able to use beach chairs and equipment to go beach (lots of floats, umbrella and wagon in shed), sombrero beach just up the street 5min drive and Bahia Honda beach a 15 minute drive. Used the key west transit bus to go to key west for the day-$4 each way…walked to mile marker bus stop-easy(look up schedule). Went to Robbies In Islamorada to feed tarpon, 25 min ride awesome place. The condos next to house had a large party one evening late w very loud music, started to join them…lol other than that very quiet and lovely perfect place!! Great Location!Will definitely stay again when returning to Marathon. Thank you for having us.

This house was wonderful! We saw many manatees during our stay. They came right up to our dock. Also, the iguanas are every where here!

Trout Key is a clean and modern piece of paradise. The house is on a quiet street with plenty of parking and only minutes to the gulf. The house, pool, dock, and cleaning station are everything you need for a great time.

This small home was perfect for our girls vacation. Kitchen was well stocked. Pool was perfect size for lounging. Noticed 2 small maintenance issues but the did not impact our fun at all. We enjoyed watching the fish and the manatee from the dock. Would note that the extra beds are upstairs in the loft area and the spiral staircase is more suited for kids or small adults. Also, in previous reviews there was noted to be construction noise. The construction is completed and so everything was super quiet. The cameras pointed at the pool did make me a little uneasy but I just tried to ignore them. My only real complaint is I never found the front porch lights and trying to go down the steps in the dark resulted in a nasty fall. But that’s a klutz for you. :)

Great place to stay! It’s right in the middle of everything so it’s not too far of a drive. But also hidden around the corner for some peace and quiet. We didn’t see the manatee’s in the cove, but there is still so much fish and iguanas to see everyday! Pool is great!! We spent a lot of time out there! And the best part is they have a washer and dryer! Would highly recommend staying here! It’s worth it!

We had an amazing vacation in paradise! It was a quiet neighborhood, semi-secluded but close enough to the main road. We enjoyed the pool every single day and loved cooking inside or out on the grill. Many wonderful moments were spent laying in the sun or under the tiki hut! A couple safety suggestions: there should be hand rails to assist getting out of the jacuzzi tub & the deck steps out to the pool should have one more light on the bottom step. Overall, it was an amazing place to stay and we hope to book it again in the future!

We were VERY HAPPY with our stay! On check-in we found the home immaculate and just as we expected. The location is convenient to everything we did in Marathon as well as in the rest of the Keys. We were always happy to return to this adorable LIKE NEW beach home. The kitchen was beautiful and well outfitted. We also loved the outdoor spaces - wonderful places to relax. We had some questions come up through the week and the responses could not have been more prompt or helpful. We feel like we made the perfect choice for our week in the Keys!

What a beautiful place! My husband and I spent our honeymoon here and it was much nicer than expected! We spent most days relaxing near the pool or on the deck having drinks and enjoying the landscaping and view of the water. This house has everything you would need and more. Love the walk in shower with rain head and jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The beds were SUPER comfy which is a rare thing in a rental property, I have stayed in million dollar homes with beds that felt like full garbage bags, Not here! There are grocery stores nearby which is a plus if you plan on cooking all your meals, we didn’t cook the entire time but the kitchen has everything you would need. The gated access was a nice feature as well making it feel private and safe. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the keys!

We loved everything about this place except the beds. Very soft, and small! We had our boat at the dock, and it was great! Quick jaunt down the canal and you are in the bay. We fished and dove 7mile Bridge. We hung out at molasses key. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at The Keys Steak and Lobster house. The pool was a must after 7 hours in the boat! Perfect for 3 or 4 people. Would have loved a fire pit at the end of a long day to relax by.

This was a beautiful place to stay, we enjoyed staying at the trout key house. There is no longer any construction going on, but there are 3 story apartments, where in the pictures it shows the grown trees to allow some privacy. We spent most of the time on the water. Easy access to the gulf and the ocean from this spot. We will be back :)

The cottage was comfortable, clean and decorated very well. It had everything you may need to make you feel at home. The extra towels and linens were a nice touch. Most mornings and evenings were spent in the back yard enjoying the pool,dock and tiki hut. Very happy with our stay. Kate and Chuck Jacksonville ,Florida

The house was perfect for the two of us. It was very bright and clean with a modern design inside and out. The owners put a lot of thought into this house. It was well stocked with linens and kitchen ware, but no food staples. We loved the location too. It's very close to Sombrero Beach, grocery stores and restaurants. If there were 2 bathrooms, we'd come back with our kids but for 2 people it's great. It should be mentioned that the spiral staircase probably would be difficult to navigate for young children and older adults. But the upstairs is a bright beautiful comfy space to relax with a crow's nest view!

We really enjoyed staying in this house. The location was great and my kids enjoyed fishing off the dock and swimming in the pool. The water was a bit cold but they got used to it. The house was clean and worked great for our family of 4!

The pool was a lovely way to cool off on our hot sunny days. The location was also great. Close to Sombrero Beach, Marinas for charter fishing and grocery stores. I would hope to go back someday!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! My husband fished in the canal every day (didn’t keep any, but had fun), and we played in the little pool. The location is central to the restaurants and activities. There are new apartments across the canal and next to the house, and we occasionally had some people noise from the apartments. It was just the 2 of us staying-if anybody is planning to stay upstairs, it should probably be kids. I don’t think you could get luggage up the small spiral staircase. We didn’t need it, so it wasn’t an issue for us. All in all, it was great!

This house is absolutely beautiful, and the canal has ample space for turning around large boats. The pool is refreshing. There is a construction site right next to the house, but you are here to be out in the water and we didn’t find it bothersome. The front and back porch are great to relax on. Very spacious property at the end of the canal and there isn’t any boat traffic so it’s quiet.
