SLK07-LUX - Luxury Villa of the Setting Sun -Near Key West Fl

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful sunset views and a great layout that made it easy for everyone to spread out and relax. The pool was warm and inviting, and there was plenty of space for our group to enjoy both indoors and outdoors. The party room was fun for our teenagers and adults! One of the highlights was the location on the bay—the water is very shallow and incredibly calm, which made it perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. However, if you’re looking for ocean waves, you won’t get that here. The bedrooms were a pleasant surprise. Although there were no photos listed, they were all very spacious and each had its own en-suite bathroom, which added a lot of comfort and convenience for our group.There were just a couple of things to note. The upstairs bathrooms had low water pressure, which could be improved. Additionally, only four exterior cameras were disclosed in the listing; however, we counted seven cameras around the exterior of the home. Full and accurate disclosure of all cameras is important, and this discrepancy made us feel uncomfortable at times—especially traveling with teenage daughters.Overall, this is a beautiful home in a great setting, and we truly enjoyed our stay.

We rented this property through Vacasa/VRBO for a family celebration with our three adult children and their partners. Our plans were to spend several days hanging out and catching up. For a party of eight, this home served us perfectly. This home is secluded on a beautifully landscaped parcel; just a 20-minute drive from Key West. The bottom level has been converted into a veranda with multiple seating and dining areas on travertine flooring that looks onto an infinity pool with a hot tub. Beyond the pool, there is a small sandy beach looking onto a sound that is perfect for kayaking, watching sunsets and stargazing. The home is large and well appointed with four bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, full bath and television The kitchen is large and modern. The garage has been converted into a game room and arcade. Surrounding the home is a covered open porch with multiple options for seating and gathering. We loved this house. It was clean, bright and open, and worked out perfectly for our family reunion. Overall rating 9.5/10.

The house and property were immaculate and just as described. We wanted a peaceful and remote rental and that’s what we got. The house was adequately stocked as far as the kitchen and bathrooms. I would definitely rent again or recommend to others. My only request is that a pool net be available for the uncaged pool for simple daily gut clean out, it’s natural but would have made the love bug clean up much easier. Also two of the kayaks need repaired or replaced. We had two great kayaks but could not go out as a family. And if the rental would supply fishing rods that would be awesome as it’s not a swimming bay but fun to throw lines to pass the time. We loved the game room in the evening and used it daily. It’s a gorgeous property!!

I echo the comments about the location of this property. It is very private location. It’s on rocky road so if you drive a sedan be careful as it can be, well, rocky. you’ll be treated to gorgeous sunsets from the deck or even better view it from the private little beach on a kayak. The kayaking is a real treat and great for everyone especially first timers. Wear water shoes if you have any thoughts of getting out of the kayak since it’s shallow and very busy ‘underneath’. The iguanas may come visit you when you’re sitting outside downstairs. They are fun to watch, but that’s about it ! The home is truly exquisite and unique.

There are no words to describe how wonderful this property is! From the very beginning to the sad ending (because we had to leave), it was a fantastic location, and the house had everything we needed. We stayed in and cooked almost every night and the amenities never disappointed! The view cannot be overstated, and the sunset is beyond earthly! There were 7 of us and the house was large enough that we never felt cramped. There is no way to sit in all the spaces available! There were several reviews that the house was not maintained. We certainly did not have that experience. We've never stayed at a house that was so clean and had everything we needed. From the morning coffee to the evening sunset, this property will not disappoint! Would stay there again in a heartbeat! Book it NOW!

This property is truly magical. We spent every day lounging by the pool and kayaking. At night, we would fish from our own private beach. We saw dolphins, small sharks and other marine life. The house is immaculate and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing vacation. Don't hesitate.

This home is absolutely beautiful with the updated appliances, lovely bedrooms, decor, views, and privacy. its a great location from all the Keys. yet is completely private. my teens loved daily kayaking in the provided kayaks, spending time in the air conditioned game room, and scuba diving in a near reef. Tips for visitors- no spices in the kitchen if you plan to cook, all bathroom essentials and even a small kitchen starter kit was provided, laundry items provided, as well as paper towels. No coffee filters required with the drop coffee maker, there was a Kuerig in the cabinet if desired. We made the mistake of paying for heat in the pool prior to our visit. It was way to warm so we requested the day we arrived to have it turned off and only received a 50% refund on the remaining days. The photos looked like there is a hot tub with jets, but there isn't one, nor did the jets turn on. We still enjoyed the pool, which gets sun most of the day.

Entering the Villa was pure ‘Candy to the Eye!’ All amenities were over the top. We absolutely loved the beach, kayaks and canoes. So much fun. The pool was fabulous. The outdoor furniture was so beachy, comfy and many fun seating arrangements. Enjoyed coffee on the balcony every morning. Views, views, views, just stunning. We would love to return to the Villa in the future and stay longer!

It is a beautiful home! We had such a great time using the pool, kayaks., fishing and game room. This home was perfect for adult couples. However, it is NOT one that I would ever bring children to, as there is something to possibly break around every corner. We were close enough to Key West that we went out there every day of our stay, and we were also close to several different restaurants on the same Key. Overall, I would stay here again. I would just come more prepared as there is no way to order food or grocery deliveries to the home.

This home was amazing! We felt like we were at a private resort. There are pool floaters, fishing poles, snorkel gear, and kayaks there waiting for you. We had a couple of activities scheduled, but ended up cancelling some because our kids didn’t even want to leave the house.

I really enjoyed the privacy , no busy neighborhoods, quiet and secluded location. House is very well designed and decorated. Private beach, and onsite pool makes this place a really special. Just a short drive to the Key West with it’s restaurant’s and busy bar's. We’ll definitively be back for the longer stay.

The house is large and very nice. No other homes next to it and no one else boating past. Very private location. House is on the west shore of the key which gives you the great sunset views. This key is great for our family since it is a close drive to Key West but also the other places in the lower keys that we like to visit. I was surprised to even see Key Deer here since I thought they were only found on Big Pine. Overall a great place to spend a week.

Our family of 8 adults thoroughly enjoyed the week. Beautiful spaces for rest, relaxation and play. The pool and hot tub were as spectacular as they look in the pictures, and the beachy ocean access was a great place for corn hole games, lounging in the sun and fishing - so quiet and secluded. We rented paddle boards for a few days to explore a little further out around the shore. The game room is one of the best amenities - it was the perfect place to hang out together after dinner for loads of fun. Key West is only a short drive so you can get your party fix. There are many closer places for great meals though. We loved having lunch at Mangrove Mama’s just around the corner, and for a great steak dinner don’t miss Grill - just north on Rt 1.

We gathered our children and grandson for a week and were totally thrilled with this home. It is beautiful and has everything an active family would want. One section of the pool has a bench seat all the way around which was perfect for little kids to walk around. We loved the beach and the salt water pool. It was fun to snorkel in that area, especially at night when crabs and other critters were out walking around. We rented kayaks and enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. The huge seating area under the house was perfect for enjoying the beauty of the yard while sitting on comfortable furniture in the shade. We loved the nightly sunsets and the game room. I highly recommend this home.

Incredible view, loved the beach, pool was perfect, outdoor seating for days. Commercial appliances all very nice. Wish it had more bedrooms so it slept more people as it will entertain many more than 8.

Our stay at Villa of the Setting Sun was wonderful. The house is stunningly beautiful and perfectly secluded for a peaceful vacation. The furnishings and kitchen appointments are all high end and fitting of a luxury rental. We enjoyed all the house had to offer, beach and pool lounging and time in the game room. There is ample outdoor lounge and dining seating. We rented paddle boards and a tandem kayak for the week (keykayak.com). Very convenient as they delivered and picked up. There is easy access to the water from the house and plenty of area to explore. Sugarloaf Key is just the vibe we were after, not crowded or touristy yet an easy 30 min drive to Key West for a visit. Don't miss Blue Heaven for breakfast in Key West. One day we traveled to Islamorada for a backcountry fishing experience with Captain Drew of Fishy Business Islamorada. Definitely a fun experience, and we enjoyed taking our catch to the Shrimp Shack and having them cook it for us. Locally, we enjoyed dinner at South of the Seven, and the Cuban bagel at Baby's Coffee is not to be missed. Vacasa and the level of attention they provided was impressive. We did have a few issues (AC and pool related), but Vacasa had someone out to address the issues within the hour. We wouldn't hesitate to book another Vacasa property in the future.
